MUFFINS!!

So this morning Stephen made us muffins. Wonderful, inexpensive, tasty chocolate chip muffins. It was a wonderful breakfast. Usually you make these in an oven. However, his oven is M.I.A and so he resorted to the lovely toaster oven. Surprisingly, the were just as enjoyable. We are both quite poor, thus our meals mainly consist of cheap "just add milk" muffins, and 15 cent packs of ramen noodles. Oh to live on your own and have such fine cuisine. But hey, I'm not complaining. Stephen and I have plenty of fun making our treats :)
Going...

Summertime

I feel that I can say it is officially summer for me because I went swimming yesterday. Not just sit by the side of the pool and pretend that I might possibly get in the pool, but actual swimming. Me, Stephen, Billy and Tim went to the pool in my apartment complex, it was such a nice day out!! We swam around and threw the Frisbee to each other while the person was jumping into the pool. Ah summer, thank God you are here.

Books

So yesterday I went to the mall, just to look around, perhaps purchase something. And I did. Although it was something that most who know me would be quite surprised that it was a couple books. Yup books. Those things you read. I bought To Kill A Mockingbird and the first two books of the Wicked series, Wicked & Son of a Witch. I thought these would be good summer reads. I have obviously read To Kill A Mockingbird, its my all time favorite book (I mean come on, my dog Scout is named after the main character:
Anyway, I thought this would be a fun-by-the-pool-in-the-summer kind of read. I have never read the Wicked books but I'm hoping they'll be enjoyable. My old roommate Jana read them and seemed to like them, although I think they are quite a bit darker than the musical, which of course I love!! I'll be sure and let you know how they turn out.
GO SUMMER READING!!

Grades

So I officially got all my grades from this semester: 5 A's, 1 B, & 1 C. And gosh darn that 1 C!!! I worked my butt off in that class, had a B most of the semester and then apparently wrecked myself on the final. Ah. Oh well at least I never have to take organic chemistry ever, ever again! Praise the Lord. Yeah and the B was art. Who on earth would've thought ART would be more difficult than my upper extremities class. Whatever. I'm so done with school it hurts me.

Happy Mother's Day

I couldn't be more glad that my mom is the woman she is. Wow would I be a mess without her. She's my best friend in the whole world. I would rather tell her something than anyone else. I can laugh with her, cry with her, talk about random things with her, talk to her about serious things in my life, talk about my boyfriend, get advice, talk about God..anything. I am so grateful God gave me her as my best friend, my teacher, my advice-giver, my hero and my mother. I love you mom! Happy Mother's Day.

music..?

So I went to a concert tonight with Stephen and some of our friends and it was interesting to say the least. One of the openers was actually great. Stephen and I have seen him before a few months ago. Astronautalis is a kind of talk music meets rap-ish...with pop-ish qualities? I dunno how to completely explain it but it definitely grows on you. He's pretty much a genius when it comes to freestyling also. Annnyway, he was what made this concert worth going because the headlining band, The Paper Chase was weird to say the least. You can go check it out for yourself but chances are you may not listen for the entire song. But hey, that's just my opinion. If you love it, then God bless you.

Blogging

So I have decided to start blogging. I know, kinda something it seems like everyone is doing and I finally decided to catch up to speed but I figured since my sister and brother-in-law are in Massachusetts, my brother is in Georgia, my parents are soon to be in Abilene, Texas and I'm in Denton, Texas that this would be a good way for everyone to look in on what I'm up to. So here we go. Hopefully, this will be full of all the exciting things that this summer has in store for me, filled with pictures, new things I'm learning about, random thoughts I have, and just whatever it is that excites me at the time. I love reading my sister's blog: beaktweets, she's really the inspiration for all of this. So if you hate my blog, well 1- stop reading and 2- blame her. OK. Look for my updates.
